Dwayne Harris

I know resigning a special teams guy isn’t the sexiest of transactions, especially a player who’s on the older side. But Dwayne Harris is a talented special teams player. It’s not just his return skills.

That’s are already well known among players, as we saw against the Denver Broncos on Monday night. It’s how he can be used in almost all special team facets. Once again, versatility is everything. Having a player that can do it all on special teams is a solid find. What’s great about Harris is that we never saw a mistake from him.

How many times can people who watch the Raiders say they didn’t see a single mistake from a return guy? Harris didn’t record a single fumble or any mishap. It’s because of how smart he is and his experience shows it. You need those type of players on special teams because special teams can ruin more games for you than they do win to win them. History with the Raiders has at least shown us that.

Harris is the safe player who has he sliver of hope to bust one. Might as well make free agency a lot easier by locking up your return specialist.
