Daryl Worley, Cornerback

The Raiders rolled the dice on Daryl Worley this past offseason, after he was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles after an incident off the field. Worley, who is only 24-years old, showed he has starting ability at the NFL level during his time with the Carolina Panthers, and should be someone the Raiders build around in the secondary.

Gareon Conley proved that he is a real CB1 this past season, and Worley stepped into a starting role late in the season as well. He expressed gratitude to head coach Jon Gruden for believing in his, and bringing him to Oakland, so you have to think he is going to give the Raiders a long listen in free agency.

Building a secondary around Conley, Worley, and 2018 fourth rounder Nick Nelson is a great start, but you can expect the Raiders to add to the group this offseason. While Rashaan Melvin was the big signing at cornerback last season, it was Worley who shined, and he is the one they should bring back in 2019.
