Quarterback

Derek Carr, Mike Glennon (2)

The Oakland Raiders have their man when it comes to their starting quarterback, and they made that clear during the 2019 NFL Draft. While the rumors swirled that Derek Carr was on his way out in Oakland, the team stood by their franchise quarterback, instead opting to surround him with more weapons.

Only 28-years old, Carr is coming off a season that saw him complete nearly 70 percent of his passes, as well as going over 4,000 yards in a season for the first time in his career. With more weapons in 2019, imagine the kind of season Carr is going to put up, as he will finally get to spend more than one year in an offensive system.

Behind Carr, Oakland brought in a bunch of veterans, including Mike Glennon and Landry Jones. They also still have Nathan Peterman on the roster, so the battle to be Carr’s backup should be a good one. Remember, the Raiders added A.J. McCarron late in the preseason last year, so it is possibly neither of these three are the guy entering Week 1.
