DeAndre Washington, RB

In 2018, DeAndre Washington missed the final three preseason games, and the home opener due to a knee strain, which he had arthroscopic surgery on. During the season, Washington saw action in ten games and had a total of 30 carries for 115 yards behind the upgraded play of running backs Jalen Richard and Doug Martin.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Raiders took Alabama running back Josh Jacobs 24th overall and he will be expected to be the feature back in Jon Gruden’s offense. With Jacobs and Richard expected to garner a considerable amount of the carries and the potential return of “retired” Oakland native, Marshawn Lynch, Washington could be the odd man out.

Remember, Oakland recently brought back Doug Martin, and Chris Warren III led the NFL in rushing yards during last year’s preseason, so Washington’s place on this team is in serious jeopardy.
