With Karl Joesph’s expiring contract in jeopardy – the Raiders could look for another back-end defender to work alongside Jonathan Abram. Despite the fact that Joseph could possibly return, you can never have to many defensive backs in today’s NFL with it being such a pass-heavy league.

Ashtyn Davis brings a versatile skill set to the table. He’s played single high safety and slot cornerback during his time at Cal. In college he’s shown it doesn’t matter if he’s put in zone or man coverage, he can thrive.

Davis also has a background in track, which has transitioned into his quality play-speed.

Pros

-Range

-Physicality

-Ball skills

Cons

-Undersized for the safety position

-Trouble shedding blockers
