The linebacker position has been ignored year after year within the Raiders organization. With 2019 looking like another season in which Oakland is left searching for a stout linebacker to cover the middle, it’s time they draft one.
Charles Snowden is a ginormous linebacker that thrives in run-stuffing. With his large body-type, Snowden extends well, keeping the opposition away from his frame. At 6’7″ he’s pretty agile in space, keeping up with receivers.
He led the nation in pass breakups among linebackers, showing he’s not just a one trick pony in playing against the run. Although, he could potentially transition into an edge rusher down the line due to his extreme size.
Pros
-Tremendous length
-Attacking ball carriers
-Hand usage/ tackling
Cons
-Needs to bulk
-Man coverage
-Speed
