Ohio State. player. Linebacker. MalikHarrison. 80. 812. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis
To show the significance of how desperate the Raiders are at the linebacker, they could be in the market not only in the middle of round one, but also in round three.
Ohio State’s Malik Harrison possesses the prototypical size you want in a versatile linebacker. His most impactful trait is what he provides in stopping the run. His superior tackling ability and knack to clog the gap is what sticks out. Currently, he remains a work in progress in coverage, but as he accumulates more reps the better that should come along.
The senior outside linebacker has seen consistent play since his sophomore year. This season he ranks fifth in tackles for loss among Big Ten defenders, as he’s been a huge force for the Buckeyes front seven.
Pros:
- Size
- Tackling
- Run stuffer
Cons:
- Change or direction
- Coverage breakdowns
- Short area quickness
