2020 Raiders 7-round NFL mock draft: Team goes defense early, and often
The Raiders have pieced together their group of wide receivers this season by trading for Trevor Davis and Zay Jones during the middle part of the year. While their core of pass catchers have been boom or bust this season, it appears Jon Gruden will likely look to add another dimension to his offense in the early to middle part of this upcoming draft with a weapon on the outside.
Arizona State’s Brandon Aiyuk is one of the most improved pass catchers in the college ranks. He was the understudy to last year’s first round pick N’Keal Harry, and this season Aiyuk has picked up right where Harry left off. Aiyuk’s film shows constant chunk plays with him doing most of his damage after the catch.
In Aiyuk’s first season as the No.1 option he’s lived up to the highly thought of role. Playing under Herm Edwards and the ASU coaching staff, he’s been prepped in a pro style offense which should help him translate into the NFL quite nicely.
