Raiders 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Las Vegas trades down in first
By Nick Ellis
With their second of two first-round picks, that Raiders address a need at cornerback, selecting CJ Henderson out of Florida. Henderson ranks as high as the second-best CB in the class on most draft boards, and for good reason.
Henderson has great speed, size, and athleticism, competed against some of the best receivers in college football last season and can play multiple different coverages. Henderson would be a great addition to an already young and up and coming defense, lining up opposite of Trayvon Mullen.
The Raiders hopefully have their two corners of the future with Henderson and Mullen, finally filling a void at a position that the Raiders have struggled with for years. In addition, youngsters like Keisean Nixon and Isaiah Johnson also dot the roster, making this a position group that could be set up for the long haul.
