Who is Lynn Bowden Jr. and how does he fit with the Las Vegas Raiders?

How he fits
There’s no doubt the NFL is a copycat league, and Jon Gruden is well aware of the things that successful teams are doing. Having already taken a page out of the Kansas City Chiefs playbook by adding speedster Henry Ruggs III, Gruden steals something from offensive genius Sean Payton with his utilization of Taysom Hill.
Bowden was listed as a wide receiver in most draft guide,s but I think he will be utilized out of the backfield as a runner, and catching short passes from the slot with the Raiders. Gruden spoke about using Ruggs on Jet Sweeps, and that is an area where Bowden can excel as well.
He is elusive with the ball in his hands, so Gruden will need to find creative ways to get him the ball in space. Expect to see Bowden used primarily in passing situations on bubble screens, circle routes, and slip screens. Gruden should also get also come up with some goal line packages where Bowden lines up at quarterback.
Don’t be surprised to see Bowden compete for a role in the return game, fielding both punts and kickoffs. As a punt returner, he twice took it to the house and had an average of 22.1 yards per return. This guy will make the Raiders offense much more exciting to watch on Sunday’s.
