5 things the Las Vegas Raiders need to work on during bye week

Look into giving other players chances

Last week, we saw the Raiders give some other players chances that had not been starting this season, and it appeared to pay off. Erik Harris had been a massive liability for the Raiders, both in coverage and tackling. Once he was replaced by veteran Jeff Heath, the Raiders saw a difference right away.

The Raiders were raving about how good Maliek Collins was going to be for the defense, but so far he has been a disappointment for the team. Collins missed the Week 5 game against the Chiefs, but players like Datone Jones and Chris Smith made a bigger difference in one game than Collins has in four games.

The Raiders can take this time during the bye week to review the film and see what players have not been pulling their weight, and hopefully will not be afraid to make changes to the starting lineup if it seems like they need to. This is a deeper team than years past, so the team must continue to get a look at everyone in the Silver and Black.
