Las Vegas Raiders: Ten 2021 NFL Draft Sleepers to know

Kendrick Green: IOL, Illinois

  • Consensus Ranking: #108

We already talked about the Raiders looking at Walker Little as a potential solution at right tackle, but the interior of the offensive line needs work too. The Raiders did some serious reconstruction by moving on from Rodney Hudson and Gabe Jackson, so the depth is thin at the moment.

If the Raiders want to be more athletic on the interior, a guy like Kendrick Green would be a perfect fit. Green put on a show at his pro day, displaying a rare level of explosiveness, even by NFL standards. A 6’2, 305 lbs, he put up a 4.85 40-yards dash (99th Pctl), 1.69 10-yards split (97 Pctl), 36” vertical (99th Pctl), and a 119” broad jump (100th Pctl).

This is freaky levels of explosiveness, and in the very few clips you can see of Green, it translates to his play on the field. He moves easily to the second level and has the strength to move guys.

A three-year starter, 2020 second-team All-American, and 2020 First Team All-Big Ten, there isn’t much Green doesn’t bring to the table. Surprisingly, he isn’t higher on the consensus board. But if that is the feeling that NFL teams have as well, it could be an opportunity for the Raiders to get a plug-in-play starter in round three or four.
