Raiders at Cowboys: Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving Raiders fans, you can celebrate by watching the Silver and Black go head to head versus who else: the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff is 1:30pm PT, and the Week 12 matchup marks the return of the Raiders to the Thanksgiving slate since November 28, 2013. Their opponent eight years ago? You guessed it: the Dallas Cowboys, who emerged victorious with a 31-24 win.

Aside from this game taking place down the stretch of the regular season with potential playoff implications, it’s a primetime game starring two historic franchises. It’s “America’s Team” versus Raider Nation, and Raiders fans would love to see the Cowboys suffer a loss in their annual Thanksgiving game. Maybe it alleviates the sting of the infamous “index card” game of 2017?

Week 12 also marks a “revenge game” between Amari Cooper and the Raiders, who traded away the receiver for a first-round pick in Jon Gruden’s first season back with the Silver and Black. Dallas’ pick came in the form of no. 27, and the Raiders drafted Johnathan Abram in the aftermath. Are we in for a treat when Abram sees Cooper on the field? If anything, Amari dissing Raiders legend Tim Brown might add some extra fuel to this Week 12 game.
