The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10, and here is why they will come away with the victory.

For the 2022 Las Vegas Raiders, this was supposed to be the soft spot in their schedule, back-to-back road games against lowly New Orleans and Jacksonville before returning home to play Indianapolis. All three of those teams have struggled in a big way this season, but for the Raiders, this has not been easy sledding at all.

In fact, after losing to the Saints and Jaguars, Las Vegas holds the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a far cry from the playoff team they were a year ago. Here, we look at why the Silver and Black will get back on the winning track against the Colts.

Reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Colts in 2022 Week 10

Jeff Saturday as Colts head coach

While Josh McDaniels has struggled in his first season as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, nothing compares to what is going on with the Colts at that position right now. Instead of promoting one of their assistants to the head coaching job after firing Frank Reich, the franchise instead decided to add Jeff Saturday to the position, who most recently has been an analyst for ESPN.

The Raiders have the advantage at head coach in this matchup, as Saturday is going into his first game, and McDaniels is in his second stint at the helm of a franchise. If McDaniels can’t win this matchup, team owner Mark Davis may have to make a move sooner than later at head coach.

Las Vegas has the better No. 4

Both starting quarterbacks in this matchup wear the No. 4, and Las Vegas definitely has the better of the two in Derek Carr. While Carr has had his struggles this season, Colts quarterback Sam Ehlinger is nowhere near the caliber of quarterback he is, and that will play a huge role in deciding this game on Sunday.

Quarterback is the most important position in all of sports, and more times than not, the team with the better signal-caller should come out on top. If Carr is outdueled by Ehlinger in Week 10, it may be time for the Silver and Black to take a look at Jarrett Stidham.

Eventually, talent has to come out on top, right?

In their last two games, the Raiders have had more talent on their roster than their opponents, but have come out on the losing end of the decision. On Sunday, you would think that the third time would be the charm, as the Colts are reeling right now, and Las Vegas has a roster built for the playoffs.

Of course, Las Vegas was the favorite in their last two games, both losses to two-win teams on the road. In Week 10, I would expect that the Silver and Black finally put away a lesser team, and they should be able to do so in a big way.
