Raiders 7-round Mock Draft: Trading back on Day 1 and still selecting a franchise QB

Now that we’ve gotten a couple skill positions out of the way, we get to focus on the big boys and building up that defensive line. Both Super Bowl teams have deep and talented d-lines and the Raiders should be trying to emulate those star-studded groups. We start that journey by grabbing a massive man in Washington’s Bralen Trice with the 48th overall pick.

Trice measures in at 6-4 and 275 lbs and was one of the best defensive ends in college football in 2023. He racked up 46 tackles and 7 sacks this year as he helped the Huskies get to the CFP Final but was also great in 2022 where he had 39 tackles and 10 sacks.

The Arizona native has great mobility to go along with his massive frame and we are excited to see his full measurables from the NFL Combine including wingspan and his bench press totals. We expect him to be one of the strongest players in the position group and feel he would be an incredible compliment to Maxx Crosby and Malcolm Koonce.

He is not the pure pass rusher that Koonce is but is excellent at setting the edge in the run game and holding his own against a double team. There is some concern about a lack of elite short area quickness and athleticism but he is a powerful player who can slide inside as well as playing on the edge. Trice would be an excellent addition to the Raiders defensive line and could contribute right away.
