Thurmond mostly played the slot for the Seahawks the last few seasons and has grown into a solid slot cornerback. He has the skill set to also cover players on the outside, but he is a standout in the slot. The scheme he was in would translate well to what the Raiders want to do and his skill set is similar to that of Porter who played slot last year for the Raiders. Furthermore, Dan Quinn Seattle’s defensive coordinator is also friends with Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver. There are a lot of moving parts with many of these free agents which means projecting the Raiders interest would be difficult.
