With the franchise and transition tagging deadline come and gone, the bulk of the 2015 unrestricted free agency class seems set for when the signing period begins on March 10th. While there is a chance that a few players could work out long-term deals with their teams by the 10th, the majority of the big names in free agency are going to stay there for the next week.
With the Raiders needing to spend virtually the entire salary cap over the next two years, and with room for improvement at nearly every position on the field, GM Reggie McKenzie will undoubtedly be pursuing some of the highest-ranked players at each position, with the spending cash to land a few pretty big fish.

One position group that many believe the Raiders will address in free agency is defensive tackles. While both players who finished last year as starters – Justin Ellis and Antonio Smith – will return next season, Smith is on the final year of his deal, Ellis is still a very raw 2nd year player with weight control issues, and there isn’t a lot of quality depth behind them. Young players Stacy McGee and Ricky Lumpkin are currently the backups.
The Raiders may make a move in the free agency market to improve this position group. Here are the top five free agents at defensive tackle:
