Pros: Fowler is an explosive pass rusher although his anticipation of the snap is below average. As a linebacker and defensive end that played all over the front seven, Fowler was producing pressure from all starting points. The engine may be the best attribute of Fowler’s and although I personally am not as high on Fowler, he has the tools that can be very exciting for many scouts.
Do not be surprised if this underclassman goes much higher due to his physical upside, I just personally would like to see more refinement in his skills to put him as high as other draft analysts are projecting.
Cons: Like the vast majority of pass rushers in this draft, Fowler lacks any refinement in his rush moves. Rather than staying tight and compact he has a tendency to let his arms fly all around and flail. His technique is rather poor, although his physical abilities allow him to stay strong at the point of attack.
