The Los Angeles Chargers are winless, so they’ll want a Week 3 win. However, is there a 2-0 team in the division that needs a win more than the others?

The AFC West has three of the eight 2-0 teams in the NFL through the first two weeks of the season. While the Los Angeles Chargers are winless, they are a pair of missed field goals from being 2-0.

The Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders are all unblemished through the first two weeks. Of course, Los Angeles has to win on Sunday, but which of the three undefeated teams in the AFC West needs a win more in Week 3: Denver, Kansas City or Oakland?

Denver plays the 1-1 Buffalo Bills on the road in Orchard Park. It is a cross-country game and an early kickoff for Denver. Getting to 3-0 with another AFC win would be huge for the Broncos, but this feels like a bit of a trap game for Denver.

Buffalo kept things interesting on the road in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers. Though both offenses were bad, Buffalo has played great defense in the first two games. It would not be shocking to see the Bills protect their house and get the win.

With the Broncos having a division win over the Chargers and a big win in a nationally televised game versus the Dallas Cowboys, they can honestly afford a slip up in Orchard Park. Besides, they get the Raiders at home in Week 4. Denver can be 3-1 with two division wins if the Broncos beat the Raiders, even after a stumble in Orchard Park.

Kansas City beat the New England Patriots on the road in primetime on Thursday night in Week 1. The Chiefs held on to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 at Arrowhead. Kansas City looks to be one of the most complete teams in the AFC and their schedule gets easier as the season progresses.

Of course, Kansas City would love to get a win on the road at the StubHub Center against Los Angeles. However, dropping a game on the road against a desperate Chargers team wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Starting the year 0-1 in the AFC West wouldn’t be great for the Chiefs, but they have two winnable games in Weeks 4 and 5: Monday night versus the Washington Redskins and on the road versus the Houston Texans. Kansas City should be 4-1 at worst heading into Week 6’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Then there’s the Raiders. They play the Redskins on the road on Sunday Night Football. Though they are the slight favorite, it is a nationally televised game. If Oakland comes out flat, it would be a bad look heading into a huge rivalry game on the road in Week 4 versus Denver.

While it’s not going to be frigid in Mile High this season for the Raiders, that Denver defense looks to be tremendous. Oakland doesn’t want to be 2-2 with an 0-1 division record heading into Week 5. The Raiders’ Week 5 to 7 games are the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles and Thursday night at home versus Kansas City.

While all three of those games are at home, that’s two division rivals and a great Ravens defense coming to town. A win on the road over Washington takes pressure of the Raiders’ next four games. Everybody in the AFC West is going to lose at some point, but the Raiders won’t want to enter Mile High Stadium in Week 4 with a loss already on their résumé.
