Derek Carr is back on track
It’s amazing how one game can change the perception of an entire team. The Raiders were riding an atrocious four-game losing streak heading into last week. With Kansas City as arguably the best team in football nine days ago, it seemed like a long shot that the Raiders could get to 3-4.

Instead of seeing the 2017 NFL season essentially come to an end for the Raiders at 2-5 after a bad loss at home to the Chiefs, the Raiders looked to one man to lead them to an impressive upset victory: franchise quarterback Derek Carr.
Thursday night was easily his best game of the season. It reminded us of why he was an MVP candidate last year and why the future for the Raiders is so blinding bright. Oakland might have the younger AFC version of Aaron Rodgers under center in Carr. What he did on Thursday night not only saved the Raiders’ season, but gave them all the confidence in the world going forward.

Though Oakland cold look sluggish on the road in an early start against the Bills on Sunday, Carr looks to be back as a top-10 quarterback in the league once again. If he plays like the Pro Bowl passer we all know he is, then the Raiders can go into Western New York and get a W against a playoff-contending Bills team.
