Oakland Raiders: 5 wide receivers to target in 2018 free agency
By John Buhler
It does not matter than he only played one game this year. If there is any free agent wide receiver to throw a ton of money at in free agency, it is Jacksonville Jaguars’ No. 1 wideout Allen Robinson. When healthy, he is a top-eight receiver in the game and he has had horrendous quarterback play to deal with in his four years in the league.

After tearing his ACL in Week 1’s blowout win of the Houston Texans, Robinson has seen his Jaguars team become a solid playoff team without him. If he was healthy, maybe this is a Super Bowl team down in Duval County? That being said, here are the two quarterbacks Robinson has had throwing him the ball in college and professionally: Christian Hackenberg at Penn State and Blake Bortles in Jacksonville.
Do you think he’d like to have a guy like Derek Carr signing him the pigskin? I’d think so. While Carr may or may not throw the most catchable ball, it’s not like passes from Hackenberg and Bortles have been world class either. We’re looking at a perennial Pro Bowl player if Robinson has his health and has competent quarterback play.

It would be a really cool dynamic to see Cooper and Robinson in the same receiving corps. Both have top-10 receiving talent. Wouldn’t they make each other better in the same receiving corps. If they pair up and play like Tim Brown and Jerry Rice did during the Super Bowl year, look out, AFC. Robinson will be very expensive, but he could be a superstar with the Silver and Black.
